About the teacher

Welcome to LEAP! My name is Sam Prete and I am the Parkrose transition teacher. This is my 8th year teaching in a transition classroom, and my 5th year at Parkrose. 

I was born in Chicago, Illinois and spent my childhood in the suburbs. I studied Special Education and earned my bachelors degree at the University of Wisconsin. 

I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, kayaking, and hanging out with my dog, Whiskey.
